06.04.2009 Iran. Iranske kristne efterspørger vores forbøn for to kristne kvinder der blev arresteret den 5. marts 2009 i Teheran, Iran (på engelsk):

Iranian Christians have requested our prayers for two Christian ladies who were arrested on 5th March. Their shared apartment was searched and various possessions were confiscated.

They have been interrogated several times and have reportedly appeared in court. Excessive bail demands have been made, but no charges have been brought against them. They are being held at the notorious Evin prison near Tehran.

They are each allowed a daily one-minute phone call to immediate family. Both are reported to be physically unwell and to be lacking adequate medical attention.

Iranian Christians supporting these believers request our prayers that:

a. They will know the Lord's presence and healing each day b. They will be released soon c. All officials involved will act mercifully, justly and compassionately, and will learn about and be drawn to Jesus' love for them d. The Iranian government will stop automatically regarding Christians as being anti-government and therefore a threat
